Our Purpose

Christ-Centered: Church of the Living Word activities are Jesus Christ centered.   We strive to emphasize what God has done through His Son and what God can do for each person today.

Bible-Oriented: To understand God and His will, one must pray and study the Word of God. Through the preaching, during worship services and teaching during Bible Study and Christian training, people are confronted with the life-changing Word.

Person-Oriented: Jesus came to seek and save the lost.   Counseling, visitation and prayer are a few ways in which we seek to encourage people.

Family-Concerned: Believing the family is the basic and foundational unit of society, we offer  programs during the year to promote family unity. Each family at Church of the Living Word has a Deacon/Deaconess assigned to minister to them. The Youth Ministry provides social, spiritual and service opportunities for young people.

Praise-Filled: Together we celebrate Jesus and the joy of God’s blessings.  People express their feelings in spirit and truth through corporate worship.

Mission-Involved: Seeking to fulfill God’s commission to reach all people for Christ, we are involved in ministering to others. Personal involvement and support through prayer and financial giving allow us to proclaim the Good News of Jesus throughout the world.
